Moon Appreciation

Why do we appreciate the moon during Mid- Autumn Festival? This is related to a story called Chang e` that fly to the moon. In the ancient time, when people knew that Chang e` ate the magic elixir of eternity and flew up to the moon to become an immortal. They started to worship her. As time goes, this tradition evolved to moon appreciation. On Mid -Autumn Festival, the moon is the biggest and brightest in the year. On that day, in Singapore people starts to come together, carrying lantern and eating mooncake.
