        The Mid-Autumn Festival originates from the ancient Chinese custom of offering and worshiping the moon. This is because in traditional Chinese culture, the moon and the sun are objects revered by the ancestors. According to research, the "Festival of the Moon" was initially set at the twenty-four solar term "Autumn Equinox", and was later transferred to the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, which is known as Mid-Autumn Festival nowadays.
